We use a developmental checklist to assess the progress of your child throughout the year. We have partnerships with the Texas Literacy Initiative and Arlington public schools. Our Pre-K students take state reading and math tests three times a year. All of this helps us determine what is best for your child when they are at Humpty Dumpty Day School.
Turnover at most schools like ours is high. Statistics show that 25 to 40% of teachers don’t stick around. However, our teachers do. Teachers have been here from five to 25 years. The reason is because we nurture our staff so they will nurture your children. Many of our students stay here for years and grow up with their classmates.
We’ve been open since 1959. We’ve learned a lot over the years. We know that we need to invest in our teachers so they will invest in your children. All our full-time teachers have national child development diplomas. Our executive director and owner, Sharyn Wilding, is personally involved and has been for 35 years. We also make sure students have relationships with all the teachers. That’s why we cross train our teachers and rotate them from class to class.
“I like the school because they are very organized and very clean. The staff is very professional and very thorough with their education and I've seen a lot of improvement with my son. And my son loves his teacher.
“They're very understanding, accommodating and everybody here is really nice. My son feels comfortable in this school and their education is working really great for him.
“It's a fun school. My daughter comes home from school and she's excited. It's a clean school and we love her teacher. Miss Salina really involves herself with the children.
